About Us
Jonathan Marcus
In 1984, my dad and I took the very first Mac model for a weekend test drive. I’ve been hooked on Apple products ever since.
As an English major, I love clear communication. I have had lives in editorial and advertising, and penned arts features and tech columns for newspapers. I’ve also taught in several contexts, including training sessions in college classrooms and professional workshops, and English as a Second Language programs.
But my geek side prevails. I happily became the go-to tech guy in every office, and I enjoyed and spent more time developing those skills than on anything else. So, in 2003, when Macs and iPods had finally grabbed the attention of the world, and wireless internet was everywhere, I set out on my own, committed to making Mac users happy and productive.
Since then, my team and I have been one of the few server-rated, Apple-certified consulting firms in San Antonio and South Texas, focusing exclusively on Apple systems and networks. From small businesses to consumers, nonprofits to public companies, we have been thrilled to help hundreds of people improve their lives through technology.
Please look me up at Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, and Posterous.

I was blissfully unaware of Apple computers until I saw one in a friend’s apartment about twenty years ago. It looked a lot smarter than my Atari. When it was time to move up from Atari I did consider an IBM, but luckily another friend steered me clear of PCs and into the path of a Power Mac 7100. 8MB of memory and a 700MB hard drive!
Over time my interest in Macs has developed along with my use of them for work. I’ve done a lot of in-house work for a family business, especially database development. For a business the workflow is always important, and to that end I’ve also done a lot of scripting to link up email programs, databases and websites.
On the non-computer side I’ve been an ESL teacher. In fact that was a job that went from part-time work to support a travel habit to full-time work to support a family while living in Japan. There are a lot of similarities in teaching and computer consulting!
I’ve been through a lot of computers since those early PowerMac days, and I’ve done a lot of IT work for friends and family while being officially employed elsewhere. Doing this for a living in San Antonio was the logical next step, and I love what I do.
